ZugDCC software for Lenz

Has anyone used this software? How is it working for you? I have an old Windows 98 computer that I would like to try it on.

I am Not familiar with Zug DCC but after studying several model railroad software programs for DCC operation and automation, I have clearly opted for and am using Railroad & Co. with my Lenz Set-100 and Zimo DCC Systems and absolutely love it. www.freiwald.com

Haven’t used Zug, but I do use JMRI extensively and can highly recommend it.

I have just installed JMRI on my Win98 train room computer. I used the software off the Lenz setup cd. I’m networking my pc’s together so I can go on-line and get the full latest version.

JMRI works very well on 98 and Lenz.

The JMRI software is better at programming decoders then the ZUG. However I like using the ZUG for additional cabs. I have my laptop connected to my Lenz via USB and have 6 loco’s running on the ZUG software. Each of the 6 loco’s has it’s own cab on the screen which is readily accessed via the mouse. This eliminates fumbling with controls, knobs or buttons.

Thanks for the input. I’m having a little trouble getting downloads on my old Windows 98 computer but I was able to get ZugDCC to work. I’m going to start with it and see how it goes. I’m afraid these computer programs are like DCC systems…I would like to have one of each! Well, no time or money for that…so…I’ll start with Zug as it will do what I need for now. I do like the turnout control as I have 22 of them, all DCC controlled.
