Well, I found a tiny phillips head screw under the middle rail of one of the insulated blocks that controls the decent on one of the grades. It was creating a short, however, the ZW circuit breaker is bad, and someone on here is kind enough to send one to me! What an odd thing though to have happen. It seems like the smallest thing can create the biggest headache! I used a different transformer to test that section and it’s fine now. Once the new circuit breaker is wired in, the ZW will be up and running. Man the small stuff on here can make you crazy!!! Jake
Amen to that! I had the same type problem with a thumb tack that had fallen out of a cheap piece of rolling stock. Made me nuts until I finally saw it arcing when the lights were turned down.

Stuff like that, and 3 daughters in college at once can make a guy nutzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Jake Love my girls though! They fly fish with me, as does my wife, so I’m a pretty lucky guy. Girls are 20,21 and 22. Don’t ask, my wife is a pro wrestler.
Jake,
I only have one son. He’s 21 and a senior at WVU. I think we will be making the last tuition payment in january… YAHOOO.
Mitch
I had 3 at once in WVU, only one now. One at law school that graduated from WVU, two in nursing, what a trip! Jake
Jake,
Where is your daughter in Law School? My son is probably going to apply to law school or grad school somewhere? Who knows maybe our kids have met each other.
Mitch
She’s going to Akron Law School, 1st year student. She really likes the school, the teachers and her classes. Says it’s very hard and demanding, but she does like it. She’s leaning towards corporate law, or women’s & children’s rights. Jake
The real puzzel is where did the screw come from?!?[:O]
Especially since the other ZW did not trip and everything kept running. I should have mailed you two. One on the way in USPS.
The screw is one of the little track screws used to hold the track down. Somehow I missed it when I put the bedding down, and it surfaced at the worst possible spot. I’d say 1/64 of an inch any direction and it would never have happened! The other ZW was not tried while the little screw was in place, I tried it only after I removed the screw. The ZW with the CB problem was assigned to that loop and within that loop was the insulated block with the dang screw actually laying on the cross tie, and slightly touching the middle rail. Jake
