ATSFRR
Just a midwestern I/T professional who has had a passion & high respect for the railroad industry since my introduction to them as a young boy in Cincinnati, Ohio. Grew up B&O, moved to the midwest and purchased KCS & NS stock. Spent a few years as a volunteer and board member of a KC area demonstration railroad & museum.
Took my 1st train ride in Hutchinson, KS when my uncle, who was a “car knocker” put up on a switcher in the yard - wow, did I ever love it. The bug bit and bit hard!
Saw the 1976 Freedom Train pull into Cincinnati and collected a commemorative coin, piece of coal and my dad encased them in an acrylic square mold.
Most recently started collecting some RR antiques. No specific rhymn or reason to it - but I do seek an authentic presentation lantern.
