I’m a 73 yr old USN Ret newby to the hobby. I’ve had “train sets”, both O and HO as a kid, but never built a layout. I’ve dreamed about doing it for years and have decided to take the plunge. I’m starting with three sturdy folding tables and plan to attach 1/2" plywood to them for a 12’x6’ layout. I’m at the very low end of a near vertical learning curve. And now it’s about all I think about.
Have invested a couple hundred $ in used engines, track etc. and ready to begin the hard part.
