I’ve been a modeler since I was 12, and have had an on again/off again relationship with the hobby as I try to balance it with the many other things that take up my time. Having grown up in Colorado, close to the Denver area, I have long been fascinated with the rail operations here. Now that so much of it has moved into history, I’ve been studying it a great deal and as a result I’ve made up a nice little story to justify the existence of the Denver and New Orleans RR as a modern day road, similar to the KCS or Iowa Interstate (hence my username).

I’m also an amateur composer, podcaster, drummer and beer brewer and if a vehicle has a diesel engine and 9 to 18 gears in it…chances are I’ve driven it or something like it. I like silly movies made by Kevin Smith, the music of Frank Zappa and any version of Sherlock Holmes ever adapted (except for the show “Elementary”; you cannot have Holmes without London IMO).
