Was a big fan of G scale for many years but dismantled my layout several years ago when I moved, selling all my accessories but keeping most of my engines, rolling stock and track. Up until a year or so ago, I’d pull out one of the engines and a couple of cars to run around the Christmas tree but then something moved me to buy the Polar Express O gauge set and thus my interest and involvement have increased to the point where I’m now operating Lionel Command & Control, both diesel and steamer along with several operating accessories. I have banished the Lionel Polar Express set to the closet and in several months I will take it north with me to give to one of my grandsons who I’m certain will have a much easier time puting up with the amount of noise it creates.

Two of my children along with two of my grandson’s are visiting with us in the next couple of weeks but soon after they leave I will be dismantling the layout and will begin work on building a three-tiered layout very similar to the one depicted in the current issue of CTT by Ray Stuber on page 42.
