Old retired guy returning to the hobby but I consider myself a beginner. Plunged into DCC six months ago by purchasing one dcc loco and two sound traxx decoders for existing engines. Layout consists of five hollow core doors banded together with yellow pine. It is all suspended from the ceiling on six cables leading to a rather heavy counter weight in the corner of the garage. Goes up and down quite nicely, actually better than expected. Makes wiring a dream.
