I used to hang out at the Soo Line roundhouse where my dad worked. That’s were I learned to love trains. I also grew up near a main staging area, 12 sets of tracks with 2 main lines. Lots of trains.

I have now started Model Railroading and love it! A lot to learn, but that’s great. So many different types of engines, cars and facilities. My only negative is I live in a duplex and the basement is not very big so I’m limited on space for my layout.

I live in Superior, Wisconsin. Across the bay is Duluth, Minnesota. We are know as the Twin Ports and are claim to fame is “Where Sail meets Rail”. The 2 big products that would railed in and sailed out on boats where Grain and Iron Ore. Superior was known for years as having the worlds largest Ore Docks.

So we have a lot of history here in the Twin Ports so it is fun living in this area, and by the way, the Twin Ports are located on Lake Superior. Worlds largest fresh water lake. Awesome.
