I am originally from Racine, Wisconsin. Growing up, my dad used to take me either to the old Chicago and Northwestern depot to watch the classic green and yellow doubledecker coaches on the “400” series passenger trains, or out to Sturtevant, WI to see Milwaukee Road Hiawathas. Currently, I reside in Macomb, Illinois on the BNSF line to Quincy which sees two Amtrak trains (in each direction) to Chicago each day. I am a meteorology professor at Western Illinois University and as my name suggests, enjoy chasing storms!
