Retired schoolteacher who has always had an interest in railroads. Worked on several steam excursion back in the 1980’s either in food service or once as a car passenger agent. I believe it was the trip with the 765 on a Norfolk Southern outing out of Chattanooga. Rode a lot of British Rail including some steam outings whilst a Fulbright Exchange Teacher in Scotland. My first train ride must have been when I was about 4 on Southern Railway out of Mississippi in 1942. Rode by myself from Hattiesburg to New Orleans when I was seven and have been hooked on trains ever since!
