I started with HO back in1967 at the age of 12, in college I moved to N scale because of size limitations. When my son was 1 year old he received a Lionel set for Christmas from his grandfather. We’ve been in O gauge since(41years). I’ve transitioned to 3 rail scale operating using Kadee couplers on some cars and introducing operations to my layout. My current layout is a 22X34 foot 1950’s era steel mill point to point shelf layout. All buildings are scratch built, including a 500 foot Great Lakes ore boat.
