I have the 246 Scout set my father gave me in 1961, which hasn’t been fully set up since about 1966. Right now my only layout is an elongated figure 8 on a 3x6 board so my 3 year old grandson can play trains; we use my Scout and a few cars on that. I’m collecting stuff to make a 1860s-70s layout in HO. So I am essentially a newbie at this.
