I’ve loved trains since I was about 7 years old, when I first saw a model train in a store window.
Around that time, I was fortunate to be able to travel a few times on a train pulled by a Baldwin steam engine.
Later in my teens, I began collecting HO trains. This lasted some 20 years, until one day I saw an LGB train set in a gift-shop. On that day I began my involvement with G scale (mainly LGB) trains.
Since 2013, I’ve been running a small garden railway out in my backyard.
As an off-shoot, I’ve been a regular contributor to Garden Railways magazine, publishing close to 20 articles so far, covering my activities on the railway, mainly building the railway and its structures.
