I just purchased a new Bachman Consolidation 2-8-0 and it said it’s been inspected…but one wire (on one side) which connects the tender to the locomotive is not holding in place because it looks as though the little plastic piece that is suppose to have a groove and keep the wire in place is broken…because of this my loco is thrown off the rails. Did any one else have this problem with their Consolidation and if so, where did you send it for repair or was it replaced, etc.?
If it’s new, you can send it back to Bachmann. I don’t hang out there, but the Bachmann forums are said to be useful.
Yes, Bachmann has a repair Page. Search for Bachmann forums. It will pop right up.
You can call also. Probably the best way.
I have bought the parts from them and repaired my own.
