2005 K-Line Catalog is Up

!st edition is up online at the K-Line site.
Just in case inquiring minds want to know. [swg]

Sorry Doug but as of Monday night it is not up. There’s a notice that it will be up sometime this week.

For those still seeking a peek at what’s coming and didn’t make the Fall Fair Days, you can go to their web site and at the upper right corner there’s some options and one is called “products.” Go there and select the 2005 catalog. You will not get the catalog as a whole unit, but a break down of various categories. I wouldn’t be certain that everything in the catalog is shown there yet either.

I scrolled though a few categories. Unfortunately anything that says “scale” does not interest me, so there was a lot for me to skip over. Not much new shown so far for us traditional sized operators (at least that interested me). There are some more Looney Toons cars. And the shorter operating searchlight car is back in BN and I think B&O. I was surprised to see the 027 #5999A (B&O, SP box cars, IC Flat with coils, MKT hopper, WM gondola etc) listed on the shipping list… really wished they’d put some of the newer S-gauge paint schemes on those cars with the 027 trucks. But there are some new “S” gauge entries including a couple of reasonable priced switcher engines. Looks like K-Line is going to give Lionel’s American Flyer line a run for the money.

And I shouldn’t have been too surprised to see $99 add-on packs for the established train sets (Construction, NYC and PRR sets) plus a new Reading MOW Train Set and an add-on for that too. Though there’s not a complete listing yet as to what comes in the add-on’s.

LIke I said, I’m sure there’s some cool scale sized stuff for those inclined, it just doesn’t interest me because for the most part, it’s too big for my layout - especially the length of some of the cars.
