We got more than I thought we were supposed to get.
I was going to try an Atlas ‘Connector’ switch from my n scale days later today but something tells me it might not work well with higher voltages. The ‘Selector’ switch looks ok. Can’t remember the difference.

Ran trains last nite for 3 hrs. NO PILE UPs!!! All ran great. Worked on making a bin for tipple coal to fall in under layout. I will try today and maybe take some pics?

Go Cards! Oh, wait, they moved away years ago and we got the Rams… Hard to keep up with sports when you are blasting aliens on Half Life, lol! Go Freeman! Actually, for any interested, there are quite a few trains in Half Life 2 and the two sequels so far. The 2nd sequel, Episode Two, starts out in an abandoned mine facility with a pretty interesting train yard to explore and fight in. Later in the game, you fight off an attack helicopter in another train yard. In the end, you fight off a bunch of walkers (think War of the Worlds - tanks on legs) around a sawmill with - you guessed it, a rail spur! This game robbed me of sleep for 2 nights and then last night I was replaying one of the levels just for fun and lost track of time, so I was up way too late - nearly 2 AM! Now I feel yucky again and I was hoping to feel good and rested today for a change! Aunt Bea on Mayberry RFD used to say it’s the sleep before midnight that does the best good and I think she was right.

It is a cloudy 28 degrees. Going up to 34 today with no snow.
Today is a relaxing day. I plan to run trains later for a few hours.

Now let us take a look at today’s AFC match-up. If the Steelers win the division title will be in a city where the odds are it will have less than desireable weather. Whereas if the Chargers win more than likely you will have weather that will allow you touristas to go surfing and/or swimming prior to gametime and a pleasant postgame stroll, assuming sobriety. For today it is pretty windy and dry but should be 82* and nothing but sunshine.

Cloudy and a shower, then sunny. Suppose to be a deep raid by Yankee weather into the beautiful and happy South during this week. [sigh] [V] Going up to train room and install TVS protector [easy to do] and plug back in my TIU [upgraded yesterday]. Then water the greenhouse. Got lots fo meeting tomorrow. [sigh][#oops] Later.

Lots of action up North, left and 3 days later the boys had a house fire and made a good stop.
Already 3 LODD for the new year. The Boston LODD is a mystery. No brakes and hit a building.
In the middle of dec-Christmas-ing the house and watching the Gent againt the birds. GO BLUE!
Cool and cloudy now with wind, almost got blown off the roof.
Got a Christmas train from Lionel (used), CW80 and an MTH Tunnel from the LHS. Fairly inexpensive.

On a personal note: Just for today, could you guys say a quick prayer for me? I have to make a life changing decision soon and I’m having difficulty. Safe to say, if I was closer to the family, this would be a slam dunk. THANKS!

Doug: DVR’d a great show from RFD on Indiana Railroad, and interurbans 1932-1941. Great B&W and color footage, done with super 8 film. One thing that stood out is a lack of maintenance on the rail lines. Lots of bumps, and grasses in the tracks.
Nice to go to Church service for a change, I’m usually in running sound for the kids service… All quiet here. Off for football!
