80 ton three truck shay

need some info
i have a 80 ton three truck shay from spectrum thats decc ready .My proplem is i cannot seem to remove the water tank assembly to get at the dcc plug
the prints that come with the loco do not tell you how to remove the assembly .
ihave been trying to remove the assembly but to no luck . any answer would be a lot of help thanks for reading this fuzzypa@ptd.net

I think the screws that hold it together are on the bottom. I have put SoundTraxx sound decoders into two of those Shays a couple of years ago, but don’t remember exactly how I got it open. Look on the bottom for some small, Phillips head screws in the corners.

thanks for the information. I see very small philips head screws i guess this is what you are saying they are around the top and around the bottem thanks for your help
