A big Thank You to Trains Mag staff for December's Map of the Month

We’re a couple of months behind [sigh] down here for getting issues of Trains Mag at the Newsagents. I don’t usually see a particular month’s issue till the end of that month.

Anyway, December Issue’s “Map of the Month” - Brand Name Trains I found very informative. There is a large variety of those maps that cover the varied interests of train folk, but the map of Brand Name Trains was truly excellent [:p] - as my interest is especially in passenger trains.

Thanks again to everyone in the Trains Mag crew that contributed to that map.[;)][:)]

Trains correspondent Curt Richards is a map collector and as I understand is the supplier of many, if not all, of the maps for the Map of the Month feature. I would guess that the Graphic Designers also work to get a finished product for publication.

I agree that is a great and very informative feature.

Jay, good to hear someone else’s comments on this one.
Any more trips since your run on the South West Chief?

Dave

I am a big map guy and enjoy the monthly maps myself.

I just purchased maps from Deskmap, who advertise in Trains. I picked up the 1996 US map, 1998 Conrail map, and 2000 US map.

Now, if I can only figure out where to hang them.

Nothing in the travel plans until next summer when a trip to Washington, DC is in the works.
