A Few Pictures (dial-up warning)

I’m no professional by any standard…but here’s a few of the shots I’ve taken since about the end of April of this year.

Nice shots, Dan. Thanks for sharing!

1 & 2 are standard shots, but I like the springtime scenery, and especially how you included it in #1. #3 is a bit dark, likely due to the skylight. You might want to practice playing with camera settings and seeing how including more skylight darkens the picture, and to what extent to tweak the settings to fight this problem. Only practice will do it. I love #4. I don’t like B&W for the most part, so #5 just doesn’t stand out to me, but that’s likely personal desire. #6…maybe centered the train, though I don’t know what you may have been avoiding on the right in terms of distractions…maybe cropping would’ve worked best. Nice shots overall.

I like them. Thanks for sharing.

If you are interested, take a look at the “rule of thirds” for composition. (you can google it - there are tons of sites with info) You might just like how your pictures turn our if you frame them or crop them with this rule in mind.
