Some excellent models/dioramas were on display as well. Here is an HO scale model of the West Side Railroad lumbermill at Tuolumne, CA:

O scale had a impressive model from down under, and this was called "Smugglers Cove. Here are some highlights:

My favorite was seeing Malcom Furlow’s San Juan Central which was a HO scale MR project railroad back in 1983. Follows are some photos of that layout:
