Hello;
I have been looking for decals for Aberdeen & Rockfish and came across some for deisel cab units and was wondering if I could also use these to letter a caboose and some undec. boxcars I have. I really dont want to buy them if they will be to large.
Thanks for any help.
Bill
Was the loco decal set Hearld King L-1630 per chance? Hearld King also made a boxcar decal set B-1630. You can maybe see the difference in the Hearld King catalog. The loco set is shown on page L22 at the following link: http://www.heraldkingdecals.com/Locomotives.html. The boxcar set is shown on page B23 at the following link: http://www.heraldkingdecals.com/Boxcars.html. I don’t see where they made a caboose set.
I don’t know what era you model, but you can see some more relatively recent photos on line at the RRPictureArchives website. Locos are shown here: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoList.aspx?id=AR; boxcars are shown here: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsList.aspx?id=AR&cid=2; and cabeese are shown here: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsList.aspx?id=AR&cid=1
You’ll have to make your own decisions as to what looks right to you!
Hope this is a little helpful.
Regards
HI THERE

Look there for your pictures .
Good Luck with your project !
If the lettering is comparable in size, go with it. One challenge will be in finding a model of an Aberdeen & Rockfish caboose as “nifty” as the real ones were. This photo is from 1979:
