I’m thinking of adding track type lights. I saw some mini halogen lights that attached to suspended wires instead of a mounted track. Does anyone have experience with these? Since the layout is in place I want the installation to as low impact as possible, but I’m not against conventional track lighting.
I’d like some input please
Jim
I opted for the white track lighting available at HOme Depot. It is relatively inexpensive, even with twin tracks and five lighting heads per track. It is warm, though. Generates a bit of heat.

We had a set of those “hangin’ halogens” in our kitchen. They didn’t throw a lot of light around, and they were worth more as “accent” lighting than for visibility. They had 50-watt bulbs in them, the most that the units were rated for.
We originally got them at Lowes. After a while, the bulbs started to burn out. They were an obscure model by an even more obscure company, and only Lowes seemed to have them. Then, even Lowes couldn’t find them any more. At least they took back the hanging fixtures and gave us back our money.
