Hello all,
I’m looking for advice on purchasing an old blue box Athearn 5 car set. Photos below. I’m assuming it’s all plastic body, although there seems to be a weight added above each truck. My main concern is are they heavy enough and will it roll well? Ideally someone has experience with these vintage well cars?

I have at least one of these sets myself. Yes they are plastic with weight at the ends. They roll pretty well but adding weights to a bottom container does help.
I always like then blue box not as detailed as the new stuff but wallet friendly and you can always add details and even the plastic wheels are not too bad which can be replace too but to me that’s the fun and cussing part enjoy the blue box
