Following advice of model railroaders, I got my airbrush cleaned up and here’s what 90 minutes of work did to Tequilla Sunrise. I kept a hot bucket of water handy and dunked the airbrush in it and it’s working fine now.
Ready to pinstrip my cheap a** pickup truck now!

I found yogurt cups good for mixing the paint. I didn’t realize until yesterday that my paint was too thick. All of the red you see (for 25 ft of wall) fit into about 1/3 of a yogurt cup. Can you believe that!
The airbrush really packs a lot of paint over a wide area (as well as getting into the air!) If I had used a paint brush it would have been difficult to stipple the red to yellow transitions in the sky and it would have used about 100 times more paint.
Initially, using the double-action airbrush was frustrating as you know from my past posts. But some of you guys gave me tips, got me motivated and on the right path. Now, I don’t know what I’d ever do w/out the airbrush.
I’m going to have some landscape photos to show you next, probably within a week.
