I would like to sponsor (help would be nice) an AMATEUR train flea market in Aiken S.C. on November 12, 2005 in conjunction with the AIken Festival of Exotic Cars iiiin Aiken S.C. (north of Augusta Ga about 17 miles. It would be inside a building in Downtown Aiken next to the Car festival www.seecarr.org is the site that will advertise this venture.
The thought is open it to hobbiest to buy sell and trade their train stuff and allow the newbies a chance to get things at a reasonable price. There is already an operating “N” and “HO” module display in Newberry Hall at the show site.
I was thinking tabels, Bring your own $10.00 rent them (got ot get a rate) admission about $5.00. If we get enough support it can be free. The profits(IF ANY) will go to the local train club or our main charity the Friends of the AIken Raill road Depot.
If any of the big boys want to come play they need to contact me. I do not want to see MSRP items jacked up to 125% with a 15% discount if you know what I mean.
Show would be 1 day this year get enough interest and we can go longer.
There is a countryclub that could host the show also. Down side is there is SO MUCH SHOPPING that the non train folks can go nutz shopping for antiques and such.
Last year I ahd $12.4 million Dollers worth of cars on the street for the show. LOTS of money to spend also.

Sounds great i have a lot of used stuff that will make a newbie happy.
All I need is a feel as to how many and is it worth it.
