The house next to Hidden Ponds is called the Bungalow. It is Snow Village but part of the limited edition American Architecture Series.
Below is a picture showing the rest of the small village under this year’s tree. From left to right are the Christmas Shop (got to have one), the Lionel Electric Train Store (special edition made for Allied Model Trains), Toms food store, and the Village Used Car Lot.
That’s it. Thanks.

Fantastic! Lookin’ good ! 312ac
This thread is off to a great start!
Here is something different for Gilbert trains. Taking a look at boxed sets I can start with a true bottom of the line 5300T Miners Work Train set. This set was cataloged in 1953 and 1954. But take a close look, this set box is factory stamped 20000! Five digit numbers were not used until 1957. Looking at the box stampings from Gair, the set box was made in 1954. Even more intriguing the 1953 1 1/2 transformers were 45W and the 1954 versions were 50W. The transformer in this set in in a box stamped 45W. When I purchased this set, the set box was factory sealed, I was the first one to open it. None of the internal boxes have been removed from the set box, so it is possible the transformer is actually a 50W version in an old box.
This set in a 20000 box is quite rare but documented in the literature. It did leave the factory in 1957 but why there were leftover Miners Work Trains three years later and why the leftovers were given a 20000 set number remains a mystery.
It is, but I wish that more American Flyer guys would participate and post photos of their locomotives and rolling stock. There has to be a lot more out there.

I need help with this one.
A Baltimore & Ohio, #633, with no doors.
Are the doors missing or were they never there? I just don’t remember.
Edit Note: The doors are missing. I just checked back at a photo that AmFlyerTom had previously posted, and the doors are there on his box car. That is a shame that mine are missing.
I have a handful of things. I will take pictures soon
Looking forward to your photos, Matt.

I showed these pictures last year, but this seems like a good place to show again. I bought this set last year at an excellent price$ It is 1958 vintage, in great condition. There is a sticker on the box that says” J.C.Penney $16.00 “.I have two of the 21160 engines, this one has metal drive wheels, the other has plastic. All the electrical pickup is in the tender anyway.
Paul
Rich, as you say the 633 box car is missing its doors. The side shown has the lower door guide missing, likely because there is damage where the push pin would be at the lower left of the opening. This example of a 633 appears to be painted red over a white plastic shell rather than red plastic which are much more common. The link couplers were replaced with KC’s, it has its original type 3 trucks. I cannot tell if the frame is diecast or sheet metal. If it is sheet metal then the car is likely a 1950 or 1951.
I am a bit confused by your comments. When you say, “This example…”, are you referring to my photo of my box car?
Rich
Paul, the set contents and the box are in great condition! It looks like the 1958 20123 set. If so it will also have the 747 cardboard trestle set, the set box number will be either B2N359 or B2N360 and made by Interstate.
That is a great looking set and, in particular, the steam engine.
Rich
Rich, I meant your car in the picture.
The box car is plastic and it retains its original red color. All of the photos that I have posted are of cars that my father bought as gifts for me. No other owners, no repaints.
Rich
Rich, I was not saying the car was repainted. There are two variations of the all red 633. One, the most common, is the red plastic. That is what you have. The other variation is red painted over white or cream plastic. These are less common. It appeared to me looking at the picture yours may have been the painted variation.
It is really great you still have all those original cars
Below are pictures of a 21918 Seaboard Baldwin engine from 1958 pulling a short cut of cars up a 2.25% grade on my layout. The 622 GAEX car has a KC on one end and the original link coupler on the other end to serve as a transition car. The yellow 637 MKT is original Gilbert. The other two cars are surplus Gilbert shells from the bankruptcy liquidation that were later painted by others. The gray Erie Lackawanna is by Kris, all their cars, and there are a lot of them, are on the www.myflyertrains.net website. These can be found at larger train shows. The PRR car was done by Pa Heritage Models on a made to order basis. I have quite a few of their products because in the early years (pre Lionel production) it was the only way to get PRR rolling stock.
