Hello thought about building a small American Flyer layout, what is the smallest radius one can use have a limited amount of room ? could use the gargraves and bend a pretty tite loop. any info would be appreciated. thank you Ron[?][:p]
I don’t know the answer to this question but AF is a “toy train” and I’m curious just how many S scale toy train operators there are on this forum. I didn’t know GG makes track for S scale either.
AF track is 19" radius. S Helper http://www.showcaseline.com/ makes track as small as 19" as do others. This page list S manufacturers http://www.trainweb.org/crocon/strack.html some are AF and some are scale. I don’t know if AF trains will get around anything smaller than 19" - might have to experiment with individual cars and locos.
Enjoy

FGandG, I’m an “S” guy trying to take my AF stuff to a scale level. Plan on changing trucks, couplers etc. and using more scale looking track.
