Just wondering if anyone can help out. I happened to be checking out the TRAINS Rochelle webcam and at 8:59am it showed an AMTRAK train going eastbound through the diamond. There was a UP SD70M on the point with an AMTRAK Genesis behind that and some trailing Superliner cars.
Just curious does anyone know what this movement was ??
probably the locomotive was having problems(amtraks).If the up wants someone to see their line they’ll call out their equipment.

This was a special for the UP Employees Club, or at least the equipment for this train. You wouldn’t find Amtrak in Rochelle normally. The reason for the UP unit on the point is the CNW’s unique cab-signal/Automatic Train Control system…Amtrak doesn’t have any units capable of leading a train in this territory.
