Nice picture Nick. Many years ago I was a regular to Joliet too. I would ride the Rock out there, and after the dizziness ended…lol…( the rock track was not good then) , it was always a great day for photography. I remember in like 1973 the Santa Fe was running freights with old passenger F-units, sometimes 8 units or more… then, the Rocket would clunk through with old E units …man…those were the days, seems like i always ended up there in the winter but the cold was easy to deal with in such a railfan paradise.
Can’t tell it’s an Amtrak unit without the Tundra.

Nick, for once could you post a picture here without it linking to railpictures? It seems like you only want to get attention and more views for your photos, so you can increase your “standing” on the site.
I agree with Chris. I see the same trains you photogragh every day being that I live right on the Santa Fe main line. I know not everyone can see the same thing and its great that you’re photographing them, but if someone wants to see the pictures then they will see them on railpictures.net. We all know who you are on both this site and that site. I’d rather talk about how many CNW units without a patch that is still out there or discuss the fall of the Penn Central on the fourms. If I wanna see a Gevo doing 70 mph I’ll look at railpictures.net or better yet drive up the road a little and see it for myself. And I have had plenty of my own pictures posted on railpics.net so dont think is a personal thing either, Nick. Sorry, just my 2 cents. Long live The Rock.
