I am an engine (steam) sitting around where nobody really bothers me me until I’m needed.
I have been used in general service, yard, hump, and “pusher” service;and been sold to “fellow”
railroads in the 1950s.(not necessarly in the EAST.)
One of my main duties was “pushing” a 2-10-4 with 160 loads over a "grade/bridge"so they could
continue on to their destination.
Please Give me wheel arrangement, location that I was used in;and at least one other road I went to.
Is the engine a tSteamtown?
Murph,NOPE!! You’re a bit too East.[:)]
Should I disqualify myself again?
No Carl, GO FOR THE GOLD!!![swg][:-,]
OK.
You are an H-7 or H-7A 2-8-8-2 on the C&O, used to push the trains up to the bridge over the Ohio at Limeville, Kentucky. You were sold to the UP.
You got it Carl; and for the correct answer, you win a free Virtual lifetime supply of
CFDMD,in lieu of the usual “Kewpie Doll” or Cigar!!![:D][swg]
