Another wally world find, 627G scraper

This looks like a good flat car load or a road project. $5.99

My favorite Wally World find is their store brand spray paint. Flat black especially - a BIG can is cheaper than a TINY can of model paint, and for painting car weights - who needs fancy paint? Plus it actually sprays FINER than Testors or Floquil spray cans. I’d test on different plastics, but I DID paint the underframe of my MDC caboose, which is metal with a few plastic details glue don, and nothign bad happened.

Randy are you talking about the model spray paint or the spray cans in the hardware dept. You know I seen some latex spray paint and may spray a camo effect on my hard shell before the scenery…just a thought…John

I like the cheap walmart spray paint I use the flat black to paint the frames of Locomotives actually I use it for most of the black areas on locomotives etc… This is the paint from the Hardware section like 97 cents a spray can.

What Milwhiawatha said. It’s the stuff in the hardware department. Be careful with foam - the paint solvents may eat foam board, I haven’t tested it yet but odd pieces of foam are what I use to hold things on when painting and while nothing has happened, those pieces already have multiple coats of differnet paints on them from previous paint jobs, so the cheap flat black has never been directly sprayed ont he foam. Test on a scrap before trying to use some of that paint on your layout.

Yeah this stuff eats the heck out of foamboard. But I have so much of it, it doesnt bother me. Now what eats this stuff worse is Dupli-color Adhesion Promoter, and Clear coats. But stillfun to paint the locomotives and rollingstock with the stuff.
