Another webcam question

Check out teh shots from 10:58 AM and 10:33 AM. About the 10:58 one, which I just missed live, what loco and railroad is that from? It looks like a shortline’s, but I almost think I’ve seen that logo on the hood before.

In the second pic, there seems to be a party of people, but they’re only there for the one shot. So, this got me wondering, to those of you who have gone there, how often are there groups of people, and how large do they get? Are there ever any arranged parties there? Does anyone ever wave to the camera when you go there? A week or two ago, I saw some guy waving to the camera, and he even knew to do it slow and long enough to be seen waving, so I think he was one of you guys!

That nearest unit almost looks like a DM&IR, but I don’t know what one of those would be doing on BNSF. It’s times like this that make me wish there were a way to blow up the webcam, or at least the archived stills. (I mean to enlarge the photos–I’m not nearly malicious enough to destroy the camera!)

Largest group I was personally involved with at the webcam was seven people, including three other Forum participants besides myself. We didn’t all get in front of the camera (Pat and Mookie, among others, are camera-shy). But yes, I personally have waved to the camera for the benefit of other Forum participants who knew I’d be there. Not today, though.

Another one for Sunday, April 19, the one taken at 11:57 AM. That looks to be some kind of maintenance operation, or something other special, but the pic is so dark and hard to make out. Any idea what that is? I know I see workmen at the diamonds on the cam often, but rail-running track machines are only occasional. Thanks.

it’s the Illinois Railnet using their engine only trackage rights on the aurora sub the red one i believe is a CF7 the blue one is a GP15
