Another Weird Idea for Water

While out looking for Mylar foil, I found this metallic silver cardboard balloon in a party store. Makes an interesting water effect. It has a ripple texture in the cardboard.

COOL!!!

How Much did this baloon cost and at what store did you puchase it? It looks like it has the potential to be something usefull.

Weird??? looks like you have hit on something here. I’m with nick on this one. Might even use it for windows???

I have been looking for ideas to make a lake and this seems the best. Right now i am using clear caulking and painting that and then going over it with a clear liquid. This might be much better.

I bought them at a local party store and they cost $1.50. I am also experimenting with Mylar foil. Here is my first temporary mockup with Mylar tissue.

Harold, what color is that mylar foil in photo with the horse drinking from the pond???
Photo looks real to me, NICE.

It looks good. An experiment I would attempt with this would be great to use it under a very thin layer of Enviro-Tex.

The mylar foil is sold as mylar tissue for gift wrapping. There is a thicker mylar foil sold for use in hyroponic greenhouses.

Here is the mylar foil under a coat of gloss medium. The ripples should be more subtle.

Here is the mylar foil with more subtle rippling

Just a thought
