I just got my new LGB #20670 Track cleaning loco out to my outdoors layout, I tried to get it to run forwards in one direction and all it would do is " stutter" the lights would flicker. I turned it around on the track tried to get it to move and the amp meter shot up to max 15 amps. I quickly turn it off and inside. The next day I took it out praying the it would work. It works in forwards but when I put it in reverse its dead and the amp shots up.[?][?][:(!] Any clues? I have Aristo brass track and a Bridgewerks 15 Magnum
Contact LGB. It sounds like the cleaning motor has a short, or the electronics board inside has a short.

Had the grinding wheel gearbox break on mine last year , but other than that thats the only problem I have had with mine so far . Sent it to LGB and they fixed it for free. There is a 3 position switch in the cab . Have you tried messing with that yet ?
Don’t forget the cleaning wheel speed control knob on the top of the cab.
I had mine fail, just sat with lights on. Bad board. Just drove over to LGB and dropped if off. Repairs were free.

I am on to my second Track cleaning loco ad they were both terrific at cleaning track but the first one wasn’t so terrific when used with MTS and become the subject of liltigation. However my second one is a beaut and MTS makes it a joy to use; I can drive it anywhere press button 7 and it starts cleqning the track, press 7 again and it stops and becomes a normal very useful little diesel loco.
I had a phoenix sound systme fitted to my first one and an LGB to the one i have now and the LGB sound is pretty good but nowhere near as good as the Phoenix sound.
To do with sound, don’t forget to ask for track pick ups when you have MTS, people seem to think you don’t need them if you are on MTS but it is a great additive unless you want to be pushing buttons all the time.
