Any idea of what type loco was used in the series,?Seems to resemble a large Commodore Vanderbilt.
From what I gather there were three different trains featured, pilot, movie or TV series. It was a 1,001 car train.
Sure looks like it was based on the 1935 Streamline Express train:
When it comes to movies there really isn’t much “new” IMHO, you can usually find an example of “been there-done that”.
