I am.

Any of the Genessee and Wyoming Railroads maybe? Is there any brand except Atlas who makes these locos? Their former livery is nice too I’d like to make my own GP9 like this one:

I plan on posting pictures of my own very layout here soon enough but I still have to figure out where to host the pictures first.
Thanks!
Antoine
Photobucket.com is used by most people on the forum.
It’s good to see someone taking an interest in another Maine (and Quebec) railroad. As you probably have found, there is not much produced in that road name. If you are looking to expand your fleet, you will have to think about buying a close to prototype locomotive or car, stripping it, then painting and decalling.
Lots of prototype photos can be found on teh NERail site

Highball Graphics makes StL&A decals in a number of scales

I use Railimages.com for my photo hosting. It’s a free site, but they do ask for donations and support if you can afford it. They do ask that all photos be train related.
We are skiers at Sunday River in Maine, so our drive up there parallels the St. Lawrence & Atlantic. Every now and then, we get to see a train. A couple of those GP9s used to be parked in Norway, Maine, every Friday night as we passed through town.
My LHS, Maine Trains in Chelmsford, MA, used to have a couple of those engines custom-painted in the shop.
Antoine- Walthers made the GP-9 m . I have two of them.

If you don’t mind the hood being too wide.
Good Morning Jeff- No I don’t mind. Besides, how many people would know???
Flip
Hey Flip, where can I find it? I’m looking all over and it seems for once google is not powerful enough to help me.
You got any pictures of those you could share?
I thought about making them myself (the gp-9) I’ve got the decals from highball already, but I don’t have the locos, plus I have no airbrush kit so, yikes! My painting skills with drybrush will make a mess. But I keep the decals for one day when I get the airbrush kit I’ll spend some time learning and do them. Part of the hobby is to be patient with the wallet as well.
+, here in Quebec (Sherbrooke to be precise) we have no hobby shop close, the closet one being in Montreal. And the shipping cost from USA is higher, and custom fees and all… you know, I have my share of little frustrations here and there from geographical perspective.

Antoine
Antoine, you will find a hobby shop in Drummondville Quebec. They may be able to help. The link is below.

Also the former Sherbrooke HO club is now located at the Granite Museum in Stanstead Quebec. Those guys may also be of assistance.
Thank you I didn’t know that hobby shop in Drummondville.
As for the Sherbrooke HO Club, I met their president, very nice guy. Not sure they sell anything second-hand tho but I’ll visit them in the summer.
Thanks again!
Antoine
Il y a aussi Hobbec, une petite boutique à Granby. There is also Hobbec in Granby. Simon
WHen you decide to make the plunge and buy an airbrush, get a couple of cheap boxcars and work on them to start. If the first paint does not work, strip them and try again.
Maybe try some spray cans just to get the feel, and to see how much better spraying is than brush painting. Summer is coming, so you can spray outdoors - just be careful you do not collect too many blackflies on the wet paint. [;)]
Find Walthers GP9m’s HERE.
I am also modeling the St Lawrence and Alantic railroad! I am modeling a small switching junction in South Paris ME. I would love for you to share some photos of your layout! It’s good to see that someone else is into it.
