Anyone recognize the maker of these cars?

I bought these from an old guy at a train show. He weathers the cars, puts Kadee couplers and metal wheels on them. I have bought a few cars from him at shows over the years and always look forward to what he has to offer at the next show. However I am stumped as to who made these as there are no markings anywhere on them. The lettering is from his own fictitious home RR.

Guesses anyone? Just curious.

The car on the right is an MDC/Roundhouse old time tank car. It is based on an prototype car.

The car on the right is a kitbash of some sort tank car mounted on a caboose underframe, possibly an MDC caboose underframe. It is not prototypical (the tank is offset).

Roundhouse/MDC sold various kit-basing “kits” for various projects. Work train, snow plow, logging cars etc.

They had a name but I do not remember (maybe 3-1 kits). The log cars used the cast under frame of the tank you show. The others were freight and caboose car frames along with other items. The off set tank could be a fire car from that series. MDC is the maker.

Thanks Dave and Ned.

After you told me what they were I found the tank car kit and a 3 in 1 fire fighting train on E-bay. I am not going to buy these but may keep my eyes open at train shows.

Thanks again.
