Well, they named her Big Boy, cuz Big Girl would have raised a stink with the ladies!
But most are named “she”, cuz the majority of men know who you have to take care of and treat nicely if you want the work done…
Think maybe Mookie will start her weekend early.

OK, but Big Girl sounds better to me (one Santa Fe locomotive was called Madam Queen–not our own Mookie but I believe it was the 2-10-4 Texas)
Why do I prefer Big Girl?

- Nice and “tender”
- Great Hot Box
- Well oiled and lubed
- Hot and steamy

Uhm, not to try and tell you how to discipline somebody, but Madame Mook, may I suggest that you have those boys stand in diffeent corners? Having all three of them together, uh, well, no good can come from this. Could be downright dangerous.

USN or USCG? In the military, I guess my punishment would be captain’s mast (or worse yet, getting lashed to the mast). Or at least I need some retraining in a “Human Relations” class?
BTW I did rake up some good ole USMC office hours in the 70s.

All ships are “she”, even with names like “Admiral Nimitz” or “Reuben James”. (Or were until Lloyds of London changed their rule last year.)
I put out a plea for a list of reasons locos are female, but didn’t get anything useful. There was a list of about 20 items I saw years ago.
Well, maybe electrics should be called he’s…after all, in order to get one to do anything you have to turn him on!
