Are Dropped Topics Still Retreivable

I noticed that the discussion list only shows topics that have been discussed in the last month. Older topics appear to have been removed. Can the older topics still be reviewed and if so how do we get to them?

Tim,

The Trains.com staff has access to past topics which at this time are not available to the general public. However, we are looking into how to best archive past topics so that they are available. I should have an answer for you soon.

I think having topics going back over ten years at this point should be adequate!

Hi Rob,

It is nice having access to these old threads. Lots of peopole have had great ideas on repairs, storage techniques, etc. These can be helpful to many of us looking for help.

It’s a very valuable resource that’s not available on the “other” forum.

Older threads that have simply not had anyone add to them SHOULD be archived and available - as illustrated by the 1955 post that is on the front page - it was a 2004 topic re-discovered and added to.

Deleted threads are not available for general viewing.
