Are Smokey Valley Handrail kits extinct?

Good Morning,
I have ordered several Smokey Valley HO handrail kits from different Internet train sites but all seem to be backordered. I assume Smokey Valley is a very small company and cannot keep up with the demand from its vendors? I ordered some of these several months ago. Have not received any of them. I assume others have the same issue going on. If anybody knows anything about what is going on @ Smokey Valley let me know.

Thanks,
Brad

You can order direct from Smokey Valley http://www.smokeyvalley.com/

Bob,
Thanks for the tip. Maybe I will actually be able to get some kits for my idle projects awaiting disection.
Regards,

Brad,
When you do get your handrails, check out the railings provided for the long hood. Generally SV sets use 2-3 lengths of .015" brass, this can be awkward or weak on the finished model. With prototype pics at hand, bend your own railings and solder to the stanchions. You will get a much stronger handrail and is much easier to do.

Agreed… I don’t like having the handrails piecemeal either. Bending your own single length handrails makes the complete assembly much more durable, and also you can do some really nice precise bends that looks better than the ones in the kit.

As a matter of fact, I don’t bother with SV’s handrail kits anymore-- I just buy their stanchions kits without the prebent handrails, which saves me like $5 a pop.
