Argentine staging?

Latest MR has a terrific article on the Argentine Switching District. What a great concept! This is still point to point with switching in between, but a whole different take from the usual. My question is regarding: He mentioned staging but didn’t go into detail. Does he only stage it between operating sessions, or is there a mole job doing live staging? jc5729

Don’t know, but there’s a rumor going around that Mel Brooks is going to make a musical out of Hithcock’s Argentine layout.

"Springtime for Hitchcock and Argentine

Winter for UP’s North Platte…"

I gotta get another hobby.

Happy New Year.

i agree. i absolutely love what Chuck has done with the layout… when i first saw the article this morning i got the itch to give something like this a try… and then i realized i allready have a layout in progress and the fiance would kill me…

anyway with 11 yard trackand the fact that he uses so many roads, it would be more convenient and practical to have the transfer runs pre set up in the staging area… otherwise the person operating the yard would have to switch and then turnover train after train to someone else to run out on the layout… just my thoughts
