blue box (mostly freight cars) to be prodeuced in the coming year http://www.athearn.com/Content/PDF/ATHkits05.pdfr
Thanks for the heads up.
I’ve had quite a few problems with my Blue Box rolling stock and have switched over to P2K and Bowser. Still, for the price BBs are a decent way to go.
how much do you have to assemble with the b-b freight cars and what sort of problems have you had? the prices look cheap[tup]
From what I seen and hear locally is the modelers doesn’t take the extra time or care to put this kit together.First its a "shake the box " type of kit that needs to be assembled properly and not thrown together.A mistake that both the rookie and experience modeler makes.
All it takes is a simple check of the floor, weight and frame to insure they are not warped. This method was taught to me way back in the late 50’s when I was a mere lad and is a very easy fix by straighten the warp parts.
