Greetings! I am coming into possession of a set of three Athearn HO standard coaches that I believe are from the 1970s onward series (enroute via eBay). They come with the six trucks but no wheelsets. I’ve searched to try and find what size wheels they’d require, 33" or 36", and whether they’d take Athearn’s short or long axles. The part number on the online archived instructions at HOSeeker’s for those is 90413. Thanks in advance.

I should mention that the 90413 number is for the entire truck and wheelset assembly that comes with the kits.
I would use Jaybee 36" with pointed ends. Those are good quality heavy metal wheel set that would also allow you to light the coaches.

If you are into the Code 88 wheels, the Reboxx WS3-1035 wheelsets would be the ones to go with. Roll really well!
