atlas electrical component system

[?][:)] I would like to know some info regarding these following items, Atlas selector #215, #205 connector, #200 snap relay, atlas switch control box #56. I am using 18- 16 gauge stranded wire and I would like to know about the type of spade tip connector that would fit on these items. I posted this subject in the toy classic fourm a few weeks but got no responses. I have been into HO gauge for the past 30 yrs and I have a lot of the above items that I would like to use for my new O gauge layout. Thank you FG PS reference THirty-Three 3-Rail Layouts Item# 6007

Felix, Atlas makes spade connectors that mate with the items in question. They come in a package of 24, and should be available at your local shop. $4.25 list-- you can order them direct from Atlas via their online shop. Usable wire size is 18-22 gauge. These spade lugs are made to fit the Atlas components-- standard #4 lugs are too wide–
As to using them on a O gauge layout, Atlas O has stated that they can be used on O gauge layouts. In my personal experince, the ones I used worked fine(connectors[for lighted buildings, etc.] ; switch machine controls) . I did not use a selector or controller as I already had standard toggle switches to use for track power.
Hope this helps!

thanks willpick atlas sells 20 gauge wire that I think that they use for those spade tip connectors… I am wondering If Home Depot carries that size wire. I will be using quite a large amount and it would be much cheaper if I got a big roll… FG

Home Depot sells 20 guage wire. I have used all of Atlas’ controllers and other switches on my layout before going DCC. I still use there turnout control switches as well as there turnout motors. (coil actuated.) There products are easy to install and do save a bit of time. Nice thing is all you have to do is remove a power supply and install a DCC supply switch all your control swicthes to that supply and you are ready to run DCC. There products takes alot of the hassels of wiring toggle switches to the different blocks. When I was setup for DC I was able to wire it so I could run a Mainline Spurs and Yard all at once. Takes a bit of trial and error but it can be done. Also I would suggest buying a copy of The Complete Atlas Wiring Book, book #12. It covers all there products and how to wire them. It also explains the different ways to wire a layout.

That 20 gauge wire sold at home depot Is that single or pair wire? I think the stereo wire (gold and silver) is 20 gauge.
