Atlas HO scale Alco C-420

Atlas continues to provide the Hobby (HO) the very finest models . The C-420 is no exception ! I now own all the LV’s, D&H and L&HR units . Keep up the great work! Al

I cant wait, i am eagerly awaiting shipment.

I do like ALCO,s, they have a very special sound. Pity the ALCO factory closed.

LIRR fans hope that Atlas will produce a high short hood version - they were the principal passenger engine on the LIRR for more than 20 years

I can’t wait for the high-hood versions to come out in the Long Island Rail Road’s Worlds Fair scheme of 1964.

A high short hood version would also be good for the Monon C-420s which also became L&N. I hope Atlas will produce this version as well.

Where’s the Long Island version? The largest commuter railroad in the world always gets ignored. Why? All of the European train makers make Belgian, Dutch or Luxembourg trains-and their population equals or is less than the Tri-state N.Y. area. Not to mention all of us expatriates…I love Atlas locos and hope to see a World’s Fair version!!

I love it! Atlas has put a lot of work into this one, can’t wait to see it. Will it also be painted B.C. Rail color schemes?

I am sure ATLAS will make a high hood version at least in the third run. Wonderfull model!

nice alco hope it can come in different color schemes.

I have 4 of the LV’s C-420’s, three with sound and one silent they all work great. I even run the silent one with the 3 sound units. I know sometimes with other models that dosen’t work the way they should. But with the Atlas models starting out ,they don’t want to pull together, but once they get going they even out and run well. Like everyone else has said, Atlas engines are some of the best I own. Hope they come out with more LV sound. Also would like to see Lehigh & New England with sound.
