Atlas..is it really cheaper? Newbie question

Of course–N does fit into small spaces rather handily, and it fits into large ones rather well too.
I did some looking–50s was my guess–and I’m sending you what I found in a personal message.
On a side note, that’s a really interesting-sounding layout that you have.

Always the lure of N scale.
I sometimes think I should have done 2 layouts - N scale for lots of railroad and O scale for building stuff.

I keep on wanting to start a thread on my layout. The current layout is the third attempt to capture the look and feel of the Dearborn Station complex, not only the station itself and surrounding track work but also the system of 13 large freight houses that made up
the one square mile complex.
