Atlas O gauge passenger cars

I just bought a set of Atlas O gauge passenger cars that are 21 inches long, Amtrac version. On the box it says they need 054 curves but I got them to go through GarGraves 042 curves(actual size 43 inches or a little more). On the bottom of each car is a switch to turn on or off the rear end red lights. I used an SD-45 to run the passenger cars around my layout, runs good with no problems.

Bought the set at a train show for $75.00, Atlas set # 6212 Amtrac 3-pack, has car numbers 54013 coach, 54021 coach, 53500 Dinette. Is this a new or slightly older set of Atlas cars?

Thanks for the replies jef & Dep. I thought I had a good buy but wasn’t 100% sure. The set of cars does great on my layout, no issues with clearance except for an overhead support for the upper track that had to be moved. They do well on GarGraves 42 inch curves and switches.
