Atlas Trainman series GP38-2 in HO scale
I’ve purchased a minimum of four GP38-2 Locomotives lettered in the YN2 and YN3 lettering schemes for CSX,and they all run like Swiss Watches,as do all Atlas Locomotives that I own. The only thing I found a bit off was on the nose end of the engine nearest the cab. The CSX lettering was smaller than what I’ve seen on the prototype. Other than that,these engines are great!
I REPLACED THE ATLAS C.B. WITH AN N.C.E. C.B. WHICH GAVE ME ENOUGH ROOM TO INSTALL AN MRC SOUNDER W/SPEAKER. NOW IT RUNS GREAT AND SOUNDS GREAT TOO.
This is a fine running Diesel at any price. I added EMD sound to it and there was plenty of room for a good size (square) speaker. I got a very smooth diesel with DCC & excellent sound for around $150. Such a deal!
