ATSF Hi-Level Transition Coaches

Got a question that I cannot answer from my Internet searches. The ATSF 528 class Hi-Level transition coaches had a stairway on one end so they could match up with normal passenger cars. Was that stairway moveable? Could the transition end of the car be configured for either hi-level or standard pass-thru? I seem to remember that I saw a set of pictures showing the operation of the transition end, but have been able to find them…

The only convertible Hi Level chair cars were #725-736. The end doors could be raised or lowered, and a “catwalk” could be installed so the cars could be used anywhere in the consist. 528-537 were delivered in 1956 and 538-549 were delivered in 1964.
