ATSF Warbonnet C40-8Ws, How many are left on BNSF?

Morning,

So I just learned that BNSF has sold most of its C40-8W ATSF Warbonnet superfleet. Does anybody know how many are left on the BNSF? I’ve seen a few on the Nashville & Eastern (Now RJ Corman) and other shortline railroads. It’s more common seeing the 4-Axle cousin, the B40-8W (some were repainted in BNSF H4). I know a lot have ended up on the CN

If anyone has any ideas on how many are left, that would help a ton!

As of the current roster none of the C-40-8 models of anykind remain either stored or active.

Is that how BNSF treats old Santa Fe locos? Shame shame shame shame! Seriously though I don’t think any of the class ones still have their old Dash 8s on the roster. Norfolk Southern has Dash 9s although many of them are being stored at the moment.

BNSF still has their B40-8Ws - only ones every made for ATSF, CSX still has theirs but remain in storage some are being repainted into YN3c and being reactivated

I could swear I read that CSX was returning some of the dash-8s to service just a few weeks ago. I certainly have seen a number of them on turns between Leewood Yard and Aulon and the Broadway line.
